SACO, Maine, Feb. 18, 2025 — Maine Water employees once again came together to support our local communities with donations through food pantry donations, warm winter coats and scholarships.

“Maine Water and its employees are dedicated to be being a force for good in the communities that we are privileged to serve,” Maine Water President Mark Vannoy said. “Every day, our passionate and dedicated water professionals, who live and work in communities across Maine, show their commitment to serve their neighbors.”

The coats were distributed to the following organizations:

  • Hartland Children’s Holiday Fund
  • Bucksport Community
  • Millinocket Schools
  • Warren Community School
  • Thomaston Community School
  • Knox County Homeless Coalition
  • York County Homeless Coalition

Maine Water employees stretch the donated funds by shopping off-season and at clearance sales. Shopping for 2025 will begin in just a few weeks. Since beginning in 2013, Maine Water employees have donated more than 1,200 coats in our communities.

The company also donated more than $7,550 to 19 food pantries in Maine Water service communities including Camden/Rockland, Biddeford/Saco, Bucksport, Skowhegan, Oakland, Hartland, Greenville, Freeport, Kezar Falls and Millinocket.
